thread_theory_camasI really love the creativity of independent sewing pattern designers, and from time to time, I like to highlight their new releases. Here are some that have been released in recent weeks.

<<< Thread Theory released its first pattern for women (and more are on the way, hurray!), the Camas Blouse. I really love granvillethis updated take on the blouse with the v-neckline and yoke! It’s designed for either knit or woven fabrics.

The Return of the Blouse obviously continues in 2015, and another new release is the Granville Shirt from Sewaholic Patterns, which is a a classic shirt with optional pocket details. >>>

capito;_hill<<< Straight Stitch Designs has a cute new dress and tunic pattern with an interesting front pleat detail. It’s called the Capitol Hill. There are three skirt options available: gathered, full circle, and half circle, and the dress or tunic can be made in either woven or knit fabric.

enidJennifer Lauren Vintage has released the Enid, a new sweater – sweatshirt – knit top pattern. I love the look of theĀ  waistband, but I am long-waisted, so unless I paired it with a high waist skirt or pair of high waist pants, I’d get the dreaded gap in the middle! >>>
